The Swedish Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Assessment of Social Services (SBU) is a knowledge authority under the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs with the mission to conduct scientific evaluations of methods in healthcare, including dental care. SBU is also tasked with conducting scientific evaluations of interventions in social services and interventions supported by the LSS (Act on Support and Service). At SBU, collaboration is the foundation for a positive work environment and the core of our daily operations and the quality of our products. The agency has around 100 employees.
Unit Description
The position is placed in one of the department's three units: somatic health, mental health, and pharmaceuticals and medical technology. Each unit consists of about 10 employees, and the daily work is led by a unit manager. The units work on both government assignments and self-initiated projects.
Job Responsibilities
As a project manager at SBU, you will take independent responsibility for evaluation projects and have the ability to lead, organize, prioritize, and implement parallel projects. The work includes recruiting and collaborating with external experts and other stakeholders such as patient and user representatives. Some examples of elements in the project process include reviewing scientific literature, analyzing and compiling results, writing manuscripts, and communicating the results. The work may also involve collaboration with other authorities, method development, training initiatives, and international cooperation.
Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant field for SBU.
- Experience in project management with a good ability to plan, lead, organize, and implement projects.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Meritorious
- Licensed profession within healthcare.
- Experience working in healthcare or social services.
- Good knowledge of healthcare legislation, governance, and organization.
- Experience in conducting systematic reviews.
- Knowledge of systematic review methodology.
- Experience of collaboration between academic research and the healthcare sector.
- Independent research experience post-PhD.
Personal Qualities
As a person, you have an easy time communicating and establishing trusting contacts. You are meticulous, solution-oriented, pedagogical, and have good collaboration skills. The work also requires you to be independent, have good judgment, and high personal integrity.

Scope and Start Date
This is a permanent full-time position (100%). SBU applies a 6-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
